Changi Airport is 17.2 km from the Central Business District and offers some of Asia's best airport connectivity. The MRT is cheap and fast; taxis are metered and reliable.

MRT (Changi Airport MRT)

The Changi Airport MRT station (on the East-West/Green Line) is linked to Terminals 2 and 3 via a walkway. A free shuttle connects Terminal 1 and Terminal 4. From Tanah Merah station (one stop), take the Green Line toward Joo Koon to reach the city. Trains run approximately every 5–8 minutes.

Tip: Buy an EZ-Link card from a ticket machine for a deposit of SGD 5. It can be used on all MRT lines, buses, and selected merchants.

Taxi

Singapore taxis are metered, clean and highly regulated. All taxi companies have ranks at Arrivals (Basement 2) of each terminal. Airport surcharges apply (SGD 5–8 depending on time).
