Dubai International Airport is just 4.6 km from the Deira district and well connected by the Dubai Metro. The Metro is the cheapest and often fastest option during peak hours.
Dubai Metro (Red Line)
The Red Line runs directly under Terminals 1 and 3 (Airport Terminal 1 and Airport Terminal 3 stations) into Dubai city — reaching the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall area and beyond. Trains run every 3–10 minutes from 05:00–24:00 (01:00 on Fridays). Terminal 2 is not directly served — take the airport shuttle.

Taxi (DTC Official)
Dubai Taxi Corporation taxis (cream-coloured with rose/green/red roofs) are the only taxis permitted to pick up at the airport. Metered fare; surcharges apply at night and on entry (airport pick-up fee).
